Hosting Provider & Registrar
My current registrar and hosting company is the small, employee-owned company DreamHost. I have a shared hosting account with them, and sometimes their database access times can be a bit slow. This can be an annoyance, as my site uses a database to store its information. However, they give me a lot of bang for my buck, and I like being able to back a small company. For the interested, they give me:
- unlimited bandwidth
- unlimited space
- automated archived backups of my databases
- SSH and FTP access
Their systems run:

If your computer was a car, you could think of your OS as being your brakes, steering wheel, turn signal, and other things that you use to control your car. - the many flavors of Linux, including:
Content Management System
I did not code this site by hand. I use the open-source softwareSoftware is a set of instructions that is in a form that a computer can execute. package known as Drupal to power my website. Drupal is a content management system. On the backend, it stores all of the actual site content in a database rather then flat files.
Look and Feel
I didn't make the site look-and-feel either. That was made by Matteo Leoni, and is called Marinelli.
